like all insects, the great green bush-cricket has three pairs of legs, with highly developed hind legs so it can jump. it produces a strident sound by rubbing its wings together, known as stridulation.

size

3 or 4 cm in length, sometimes even 5 cm, with long, thin antennae. its colour varies from green to yellow.

 

habitat

It lives in grassy or bushy areas, on uncultivated land.

diet

Its diet primarily consists of insect larvae and also plants.
